Barcelona is a beautiful city with grand infrastructure lovely parks and beaches. It has good public transport system with metros, metered taxi, buses and is well-connected to the airport. It has the largest airport in the Mediterranean coast, and the second largest airport in Spain. It has a large Mediterranean port where cargoes and cruise liners have boomed its trade and tourism. Barcelona has a very expensive standard of living in Spain . There are tall skyscrapers Barcelona has been well flourished in trade as early as the nineteenth century in the textile industry which helped them in being very creative and talented in craftsmanship and designing. The city is administered through the city council.

 

Here people practice religions such as Christianity, Buddhism, Jehnovas witness. It has an increased number of immigrates from as far as Asia , Africa Latin America. It has an excellent academic facility for the children. It has begun a unique system of public transport by bicycle. Since the city of Barcelona faces the Mediterranean Sea it has a Mediterranean type of climate. The winters are mild and dry where as the summers are hot and humid. The local language of the calatonia's is “catalan” very few can read and write this language but the majority of them can speak this language. The 1992 Olympic Games was held in Barcelona , to host the games many beaches were opened up and industrial buildings were demolished to re construct the Olympic village.

 

There are large industries of telecommunication, electronics, computer, pharmaceutical and textile. Barcelona has emerged as a fashion house in Europe . Museu Nacional d'art de has a wide range of the ancient collectionsof art like the Roman art,Gothic art Rennaissance and Borogue art,In modern Art there are overwhelming prints and drawings and photographs.A wide range of coin collections are a delght to see..Torre de Collserola and Torre agbar are known for being the highest structure .
