About Florence
Florence is the capital of Italy 's Tuscany area. It is situated at the bank of river Arno , which is near to Adriatic and Tyrrhenian Seas . During the first century Romans founded Florence , but it grew into importance between thirteenth and seventeenth centuries. The golden age was witness in 15 th century, during the rule of Medici families. They were responsible for construction of many of the city's magnificent landmarks, monuments and buildings. Surprisingly, most of them are in good condition till date.
