On the southern part of the river Tagus , in Almada is a huge Cristo-Rei monument situated. It replicates Cristo Redentor monument of Rio de Janeiro , Brazil . This tombstone facing the river Tagus is of 82 meters and renders spectacular scenic view of the river and the city from the height of its pedestal.

 

Ribeira market, near the Cais do Sodre railway station is a famous place for meat market and regular produce. During weekends one can entertain with variety of attractions, along with concerts.
