NIGHTLIFE OF BARCELONA

Barcelona the city of fun has a throbbing nightlife, by far the best in Spain .

Having a good time and driving your blues away into the night is what Barcelona is all about. The evenings begin at the bars-restaurantes, moves ahead to the bares- musicales and finally ends after sunrise at the discotecs. There are full-fledged pubs and elegant lounges in many neighbourhoods of Barcelona .

Many of the places are unknown but that does not mean they have less to offer, so tread beyond the hackneyed tourist visited places for an out of the world experience.

if you are looking for a less touristy place to chill head for the pubs n bars slightly away from the main city in the narrower lanes.

There are many bars in Barcelona , the trendy happening ones include Les Bosq des Fades which is just off Las Ramblas near the wax museum. The bar is like a fairytale setting with gnarled trees and a bridge. La Oveja Negra is the most popular tavern in town situated at Sitges. Margarita Blue located at C.J.A.Clave, is a Mexican themed bar serving blue margarita.

If you love to drink yourself silly and sink into comfy couches, head to the lounges, the most famous ones being El Café Que Pone Muebles Navarro, located bear Riera.

The Harlem Jazz Club near Comseta de Sobradiel has live jazz, folk, or acoustic rock every night.

For the bares musicales Lizard located at Platon is a funky place to go to.

It has a mix of rap hip-hop and funk playing. Universal is for social climbers situated at Maria Cubi. Mas I Mas at Maria Cubi is a packed intimate kind of place.

Getting into a club is difficult in the top clubs of Barcelona , so dress well, and whats hip varies daily, so keep yourself updated on the latest club trends. The covers for guys are ridiculously high at the clubs. Expect to pay 600 ptas for a beer and atleast 900 ptas for a drink. For a carzy disco experience head to Poble Espanyol, the disco theme park at Mrques de Comillas. La Terazza, Torres de Avila and Sixty-nine are also a few of the happening clubs of Barcelona . Discotecas blare music all over Olympic village.

Walk down Las Ramblas and cross the wavy bridge to Maremagnum for a three level maze of clubs. Some of the best and biggest discotecas are outside the touristed Ramblas area. You can try Otto Zutz at C.Lincoln or the KGB at C.Alwgre for an out of the world disco experience.
