When the sun goes down in Rome , lights across the city bathe palaces, ruins, fountains, and monuments in a theatrical glow. There are few evening pursuits as pleasurable as a stroll past the solemn pillars of old temples or the cascading torrents of Renaissance fountains glimmering under the blue-black sky. The legal drinking age in Italy is 16 and the absence of licensing laws means that drinking is possible at all hours. Most wine-bars and birrerie stay open until 2400 in winter and 0200 in summer. However, in general, people are more interested in seeing and being seen – alcohol is almost an afterthought. Well, this is all about the wilder side of Rome in the night.
For others, when sun sets in the evening and the lights gets dim in the twilight the places look even prettier and have a cool dominant glow on it as if the moonlight was providing a glitter to it. The bright illuminated places glorifies the place. The pavements for the pedestrians too are wonderfully constructed and is a good place for walk in the town. There are good operas to hang out with friends in the evening and Rome is indeed a place for music concerts and is famous for the same.
